Dave at Brockweir, early stages

These are the early stages, which always seem to look better than the finished piece. I have made the initial drawing using a mixture of Alizarin and Ultramine and then blocked in the darker areas using a warm mixture. The lighter areas are loosely blocked in using a cool mixture of Lemon Yellow, coerulleum blue and a touch of cadmium red.
